Browns Go With Jedrick Wills At 10th Overall
5 years agoThe Cleveland Browns selected Alabama offensive tackle Jedrick Wills with the 10th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft on Thursday. Wills was the alpha male for Alabama's offensive line in 2019, per quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Quarterback Baker Mayfield was running for his life in 2019, so the Browns will bring in Wills to serve as Mayfield's blind-side protector in 2020. Jack Conklin, who was signed in free agency, should now stick on the right side. Wills could have the most upside of any of the top offensive tackles in this year's draft and has been excellent in pass protection. With all of Cleveland's aerial weapons, Wills should give Mayfield more time to find them.
