Browns Fire Todd Haley
6 years agoThe Cleveland Browns fired offensive coordinator Todd Haley on Monday, according to a source. There was a report over the weekend that Haley and head coach Hue Jackson were butting heads on the offensive play-calling and that a change could be imminent. Well, the Browns fired both Jackson and Haley on Monday, shaking up the entire coaching staff in the middle of another lost season after the team's third straight loss. With a rookie quarterback in Baker Mayfield, a rookie running back in Nick Chubb and several rookie receivers in the passing game (Antonio Callaway, Damion Ratley), the Browns were expected to have their ups and downs in 2018. But a full-fledged coaching shakeup in the middle of the season won't be good for their development. This team has more talent than it's had in a long time, but things won't drastically improve anytime soon. Running backs coach Freddie Kitchens will take over as offensive coordinator moving forward.
