Browns Could Have To Consider Trading Myles Garrett
3 days agoThe Athletic's Zac Jackson writes that the Cleveland Browns probably have to at least consider trading star pass-rusher Myles Garrett now that they are heading into a clear rebuild. Garrett became the first player to record 14 sacks in four straight seasons on Sunday in the loss to the Miami Dolphins on his 29th birthday. He is under contract for two more years and is still at the top of his game, however, he has recently questioned his future with the organization and understandably doesn't want to be a part of a rebuild at this stage of his career. In the run-up to the trade deadline this year, the Browns viewed moving Garrett as something they would not do. With one game left in the 2024 season, that stance might be changing quickly. After gambling on quarterback Deshaun Watson and doubling down on big contracts, the Browns are a mess heading into the offseason with a quick turnaround being unlikely.
