Broncos Not Ruling Out Royce Freeman
6 years agoWhile Denver Broncos rookie running back Royce Freeman (ankle) missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday, he is improving and was moving around inside the team's complex without a walking boot. The team is still hopeful that he can play on Sunday against the Chiefs. He'll need to at least be limited in practice on Friday to have a chance to play, but even then we're skeptical. High ankle sprains typically cost players several weeks of action. If Freeman is somehow active, we would recommend avoiding him. Phillip Lindsay has been the more impressive rookie back this year and will be a strong RB2 if Freeman sits out.
