Brian Dozier Dealing With Sore Toe
6 years agoWashington Nationals second baseman Brian Dozier is dealing with a sore toe after he fouled a pitch off his foot recently. He had to get the toe drained on Tuesday, according to manager Dave Martinez. It helps explain why he's not starting on Wednesday, but the Nats could also give him more time off. The veteran second baseman is hitting just .152 (7-for-46) with one homer and an RBI to start the year. His injury, coupled with his toe ailment, could give Howie Kendrick more run at the keystone moving forward. Dozier is one to bench for the foreseeable future.
