Brian Dozier Back From Paternity Leave
5 years agoThe Washington Nationals activated second baseman Brian Dozier from the paternity list on Thursday. He's back at the keystone and is hitting seventh against Pirates starter Steven Brault. The 32-year-old has been a disappointment in his first year in D.C. with a .236 average, but he does have 19 home runs and 45 RBI at second base for his fantasy owners. He was hot before going on leave, so the Nats and his owners hope he can pick up where he left off. Dozier has been slightly better in the second half with a .245/.377/.447 line with five homers in 32 games.
