Brian Anderson To Play In Rehab Game Thursday
3 years agoMiami Marlins third baseman Brian Anderson will play in a minor league rehab game on Thursday night with Single-A Jupiter. Anderson is getting close to returning to the major league roster after landing on the COVID-19 injured list. The 28-year-old should return to Miami's lineup for the weekend series against the Milwaukee Brewers. Anderson is a low-ceiling fantasy asset at third base, and he was hitting .258/.387/.774 with a homer, two RBI, 13 runs scored and a stolen base in 20 games before testing positive for the virus. In his best season in six years in the majors, Anderson hit 20 home runs and drove in 66 runs in 126 games in 2019. He has played in over 100 games only twice in his six seasons.
