Brian Anderson Likely Out For The Season
5 years agoUpdating a previous report, Miami Marlins third baseman Brian Anderson (hand) suffered a fractured hand on Friday night and is likely done for the rest of the season. Anderson will finish the year hitting .261/.342/.468 with 20 home runs, 57 runs, 66 RBI and five stolen bases in 520 plate appearances as one of the better offensive pieces for the lowly Fish. You can probably go ahead and drop him now in redraft leagues for another corner infield option the rest of the way. As a result of Anderson's injury, veterans Martin Prado and Neil Walker could see more action at first base if Miami chooses to shift Garrett Cooper to the outfield the rest of the way.
