Brewers Have Checked In On Matt Harvey
6 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers have checked in on Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Matt Harvey, according to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. The Reds don't appear to be in active talks with the Brewers, and Milwaukee views Harvey as a fallback option if their other pursuits aren't fruitful. Harvey has reinvented himself a bit since landing with the Reds, going 5-4 with a 4.50 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over 13 starts, but he's still striking out an underwhelming 6.8 hitters per nine innings. He's no longer the Dark Knight, but he can be useful in deep mixed leagues as a streamer in appealing matchups.
