Brewers Could Be A Landing Spot For Trevor Story
4 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers could be a potential landing spot for Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story. The two-time All-Star and Silver Slugger winner is expected to be traded, and the Rockies are listening to offers ahead of next month's trade deadline. The Brewers acquired Willy Adames from the Tampa Bay Rays last month, but they could be interested in more infield help after possibly losing third baseman Travis Shaw (shoulder) for the rest of the season. As one of the best shortstops in the game, Story would immediately upgrade Milwaukee's lineup. The 28-year-old slammed two home runs on Wednesday and is hitting .259/.332/.444 with eight long balls, 32 RBI, 36 runs scored and 13 stolen bases in 63 games this season. While it'll be a drag that he's leaving Coors Field, Story is the kind of talent that will excel no matter where he's playing.
