Brett Martin Secures Second Save
2 years agoTexas Rangers relief pitcher Brett Martin was given the ball in the ninth inning for the second day in a row. Manager Chris Woodward pulled Joe Barlow from the closer role for the team being. Now, it appears Martin is going to get a chance to earn the job. The left-hander secured his second save of the season versus the Minnesota Twins on Saturday. He is posting a 3.00 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 22 strikeouts over 27 innings of work. He is certainly worth a look in fantasy leagues where saves matter.
