Brett Anderson Activated From DL, Starting Thursday
6 years agoThe Oakland Athletics activated starting pitcher Brett Anderson (forearm) from the 10-day disabled list on Thursday, and he is starting against the Orioles. The left-hander is 3-4 on the year with a 4.02 ERA, and opponents are hitting .276 against him over 13 starts. In seven starts since the All-Star break, Anderson is 2-2 with a 2.83 ERA and .221 opponent's average against. He doesn't strike out many, but he also has walked only 12 hitters in 65 innings overall. Consider him a decent streamer against the worst team in baseball on Thursday.
