Breshad Perriman Joins The Jets
5 years agoThe New York Jets agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $8 million with wide receiver Breshad Perriman on Tuesday, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. The deal includes $6 million in guarantees. Perriman will help replace Robby Anderson, who signed with the Panthers earlier in the day. The 26-year-old Perriman had 36 catches for 645 yards and six touchdowns with Tampa Bay last year, averaging 17.9 yards per catch in 14 games while seeing just 56 percent of the snaps. He did most of his damage down the stretch when both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin were injured. Perriman is a speedy receiver that will provide quarterback Sam Darnold with a nice downfield threat to complement Jamison Crowder in the slot. The former first-round pick should be a WR3/4 target, but fantasy owners shouldn't overpay for him, as he could be a frustrating boom/bust asset.
