3 days agoBrent Rooker followed up a monster 2023 season with an even better one in 2024. Rooker hit a robust .293 with 39 home runs, 112 RBI, 82 runs, and 11 stolen bases in 2024. The 30-year-old has hit at least 30 home runs in each of the last two seasons. With a current ADP of 73, he is being rostered in the fifth round of snake drafts. One thing to consider is how you build your roster: as a designated hitter he will only fit in the utility spot in your lineups. The batting average was likely inflated by a 37% hit rate, which could easily come down in 2025. He had a 16.6% barrel percentage in 2024, which was in the 97th percentile in MLB. Expect the 30-home run plateau to be in range for Rooker with a possible decreased batting average in the .250 range with 5-10 steals certainly possible.
