1 year agoOakland Athletics outfielder Brent Rooker will take a seat on the bench on Wednesday as the team faces the Cleveland Guardians. Rooker has been a nice story for the last-place A's this year, but he's fallen on hard times of late and has gone 11-for-51 (.216) with two home runs, six RBI, three doubles and 21 strikeouts in 15 games in the month of June to drop his season slash line to .250/.350/.482 with an .832 OPS, 13 home runs, 12 doubles, 38 RBI and 29 runs scored in 257 plate appearances. Fantasy managers may want to keep Rooker on the bench for a while until he picks things up. Seth Brown is serving as the designated hitter and is batting third for the A's against Guardians rookie right-hander Gavin Williams, who will be making his first MLB start on Wednesday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
