Brent Honeywell May Be Dealing With Nerve Issue
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Brent Honeywell (elbow, shoulder), who is shut down from throwing, could be dealing with a nerve issue in his upper right arm. He will rest and see a doctor for testing next week after being shut down in mid-April with elbow pain while rehabbing from Tommy John surgery last year. It's not a good sign when you have shoulder issues on top of having to worry about your recovery from elbow reconstruction. The team's No. 2 prospect and No. 26 overall, per MLB Pipeline, could be looking at an even longer recovery now. You can continue to stash him in dynasty/keeper formats, but the 24-year-old right-hander may not have a shot to make his big league debut in 2019 after all.
