6 years agoThe Atlanta Braves are in agreement on a contract extension with second baseman Ozzie Albies on Thursday, according to sources. The details of the extension have yet to be released. The 22-year-old is off to a great start this year, hitting .364/.429/.500 with a homer, five runs, two RBI and two stolen bases in 44 at-bats. He's part of a strong young Atlanta core that should help the team contend into the future. Albies impressed in his first full major league season in 2018, slashing .261/.305/.452 with 24 home runs, 72 RBI and 14 thefts in 158 games.
