Brandon Woodruff To Serve As Opener In Game 1 Of NLDS
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff will serve as the opener for Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the Rockies on Thursday. Woodruff, who has experience as a starter and who had four starts in 19 outings this year, went 3-0 on the season with a 3.61 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 47 K's in 42 1/3 innings. He wasn't very effective in his four starts in 2018, though, posting a 6.32 ERA with 15 hits allowed (two homers) while walking nine and striking out 13 in 15 2/3 innings. Workman isn't an attractive DFS option on Thursday, and he's unlikely to be in the game long enough to qualify for a win.
