Brandon Saad Ruled Out For Thursday's Contest
2 years agoSt. Louis Blues left wing Brandon Saad (upper body) won't be able to play Thursday versus New Jersey. He got hurt in Tuesday's 6-2 victory over the Panthers and is considered day-to-day. Saad has registered 15 goals and 22 points in 46 games during a down year. He's been getting a lot of opportunities in the top six, but the scoring form and consistency simply haven't been there for Saad. Ivan Barbashev, who notched three points Tuesday, is a strong candidate to take over Saad's role on the first line.
