Brandon Marshall Takes Part In Team Drills
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver Brandon Marshall (ankle, toe), who had toe and ankle surgeries in the offseason, took part in team drills for the first time in training camp on Thursday. He was limited but caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Russell Wilson in red-zone drills. “It was a unique situation for me this whole offseason, pretty much rehabbing for eight months,” Marshall said. “I didn’t have time to really train, so now, today was like the first day where I really felt like myself. I felt like—it’s the best I’ve felt in over a year. I’m still trying to get there in midseason form. I have time, but today felt good and it reminded me that I can play some ball.” The veteran wideout must prove he's healthy to even make the roster, but so far, so good. The depth behind Doug Baldwin -- who is now injured -- isn't great, so there's certainly opportunity for Marshall if he's healthy. He's now 34 years old but could be a surprise fantasy contributor. He's worth a late-round flier as a touchdown-dependent receiver.
