Brandon Marshall Making Progress With Seahawks
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks veteran wide receiver Brandon Marshall "started" the team's preseason opener against the Colts last week but played just seven snaps before calling it a night. Despite the limited work in the game, his work in practices have the Seahawks encouraged about his role with Doug Baldwin (knee) sidelined. “It’s been really good,” offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said. “I mean, he had a big play today. It’s just, there’s some timing stuff still. He and Russ (Wilson) are working through it. That’s a big part of him being out there but I love seeing him out there. He’s been over with us during the quarterback individual stuff, which is great. They’re talking all the time, but yes. Very encouraged.” The 34-year-old has regressed in recent seasons and played in just five games with the Giants in his lone season there due to a serious ankle injury. Seattle is looking for someone to step up behind Baldwin with tight end Jimmy Graham gone, so Marshall could be that guy if he's healthy. Don't sleep on him as a late-round target, especially with his expertise in the red zone in his career.
