6 years agoOakland Athletics closer Blake Treinen won his salary arbitration case on Saturday and will make $6.4 million, which is a $4.25 million raise and is a record for a second-time arbitration-eligible relief pitcher. Treinen was the best reliever in baseball in 2018. He was 9-2 with a 0.78 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 100 strikeouts in 80 1/3 innings with 38 saves for the A's. He comes into 2019 as RotoBaller's No. 2 fantasy closer behind only Edwin Diaz, who led all of baseball in saves last year.
