5 years agoThe Minnesota Twins placed relief pitcher Blake Parker on the family medical emergency list on Wednesday and recalled pitcher Sean Poppen from Triple-A Rochester in a corresponding move. Parker has been playing second fiddle to Taylor Rogers in save situations of late but does have nine saves and a 4.26 ERA over 25 1/3 innings this year. It's unclear how long he'll be away from the team. Expect Rogers to share closing duties with Trevor May for however long Parker is away. Poppen was a 19th-round pick out of Harvard in 2016 and will be making his big league debut. He can be left alone everywhere.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
