Blake Parker Back From Paternity Leave
5 years agoThe Minnesota Twins reinstated relief pitcher Blake Parker from the paternity list on Friday and optioned pitcher Devin Smeltzer to Triple-A Rochester in a corresponding move. Parker has been out since July 3. While Taylor Rogers is still the better fantasy bet for saves for the first-place Twins, Parker is also an option in the ninth inning for manager Rocco Baldelli. The 34-year-old has a 3.77 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, 10 saves and 29 strikeouts in his 31 innings this year. Parker is worth owning in AL-only leagues and for those desperate for saves.
