Billy Hamilton Has Mild Knee Sprain
6 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Billy Hamilton was diagnosed with a mild left knee sprain after he underwent an MRI exam on Thursday after crashing into the outfield wall and having to be carted off the field. He appears to have dodged a bullet, as his injury looked a lot worse in real time. The 28-year-old speedster is hitting just .237 with one RBI and two steals on the season in his first year in KC. He'll never be of much use with his bat, but his elite speed plays in all leagues. Expect Hamilton to miss some time, but he'll be back eventually. Terrance Gore, who is pretty fast himself, might see some more starts in center field soon.
