Bills Release Isaiah McKenzie Friday
2 years agoThe Buffalo Bills released wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie, who was due a $250,000 bonus, on Friday. The move to release him will save the Bills over $2 million on the 2023 salary cap. McKenzie was expected to have a breakout year with the Bills in 2022 after the team released veteran slot man Cole Beasley, but the 27-year-old remained inconsistent and finished with 42 receptions on 65 targets for 423 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 15 regular season games (eight starts). He also added nine carries for 55 yards and another score. The former fifth-rounder in 2017 by the Denver Broncos will look for a new home on the open market and could warrant late-round fantasy appeal, depending on where he ends up.
