Bilal Powell Out For The Season
6 years agoThe New York Jets placed running back Bilal Powell (neck) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday, effectively ending his season. He will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so Week 7 could've been his last game with the team. He had rushed for 343 yards on 80 carries while also catching 11 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. With Powell out, Isaiah Crowell should see a boost in fantasy value, although he's been playing injured the last few weeks. Rookie Trenton Cannon should help spell Crowell, especially on passing downs. Elijah McGuire (foot) has been out all season so far but is eligible to practice and should return to the team soon. When he's healthy and ready to go, he should be the direct complement to Crowell. For now, Cannon is an option for owners in deep PPR leagues.
