Bears Signing Robert Quinn
5 years agoThe Chicago Bears are signing defensive end Robert Quinn to a five-year, $70 million contract on Tuesday, according to his agent, Sean Kiernan. The deal includes $30 million fully guaranteed. Quinn, 30 in May, returned to double-digit sacks in his only season in Dallas for the first time since 2014 with the St. Louis Rams. He finished with 11.5 sacks, 34 tackles (26 solo), 13 tackles for loss, 22 quarterback hits and two forced fumbles in his 14 starts in 2019. Joining Khalil Mack in Chicago could easily help Quinn stay productive as he enters his 30s. An already strong and elite Bears Defense just got better on Tuesday. In a corresponding move, the team released linebacker Leonard Floyd. His entire $13.2 million salary will come off the books in 2020 with no dead money.
