Bears Acquire DJ Moore In Big Trade With Panthers
2 years agoThe Chicago Bears traded away the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft to the Carolina Panthers on Friday in exchange for the No. 9 overall pick, pick No. 61, a first-rounder in 2024, a second-rounder in 2025 and wide receiver DJ Moore, according to sources. It's a massive haul for the Bears in terms of draft-pick compensation, and they'll also receive a much-needed upgrade to the wideout position. Chicago was widely expected to trade the first overall pick, as they already have their franchise signal-caller in Justin Fields. Moore will be the team's unquestioned No. 1, with Darnell Mooney and Chase Claypool serving as the No. 2 and 3, respectively. This trade should only strengthen the fantasy outlooks of both Fields and Moore in 2023, although it's bad news for both Mooney and Claypool.
