Baker Mayfield Likely To Undergo An MRI
12 months agoTampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle) went 20-for-30 passing for 199 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick during Sunday's loss to the Colts. He added three carries for 14 yards. The signal-caller played well enough for fantasy managers on Sunday, even more so since he exited briefly because of an ankle injury. Per ESPN's Jenna Laine, Mayfield spent a "significant portion of postgame getting treatment." He was also walking with a visible limp. Nonetheless, Mayfield expects to receive an MRI once the team returns to Tampa, meaning his status for Week 13 versus the Carolina Panthers is up in the air. If he doesn't play, Kyle Trask would presumably take over under center.
