3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Avisail Garcia is absent from the starting lineup for Thursday's game against Adam Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals. Tyrone Taylor is getting the start in right field and batting sixth in the game. Garcia recently became eligible for a mutual option this offseason by hitting a required plate appearance threshold over the past two years. He can opt for free agency at the end of the year now. The 30-year-old has had a strong second season with the Brewers, slashing .270/.337/.506 with 29 home runs, 84 RBI and 67 runs. The Brewers may attempt to bring him back next year as they are lacking in outfield depth behind Christian Yelich.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
