6 years agoWhile Chicago White Sox outfielder Avisail Garcia (knee) is staunchly against it, the team is considering shutting him down for the season. Garcia should be back in the lineup soon, but a shutdown remains possible if issues pop up again. General manager Rick Hahn said Garcia's knee is not at risk of getting worse. Garcia had a breakout season in 2017 but has fallen back to Earth this year, hitting just .236/.267/.442 with 15 home runs and 38 RBI in 75 games. It hasn't helped that he doesn't have much protection in the lineup around him.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
