Austin Voth To Start Saturday, Tanner Roark To Go Wednesday
6 years agoWashington Nationals pitcher Austin Voth will make the start on Saturday against the Mets instead of starter Tanner Roark, according to manager Dave Martinez. Roark has been on paternity leave all week, so they don't want to rush him back. He is likely to make his next start on Wednesday against the Marlins. Voth has an 11.81 ERA, 2.25 WHIP and three strikeouts over just 5 1/3 innings in two outings (one start) for the Nationals this year. With him unlikely to go very long on Saturday, he should be avoided by those looking to stream. Roark has been largely way too inconsistent for those in mixed leagues this year, but he has a very tempting matchup in what should be his last start of the 2018 season.
