6 years agoIt's been recommended that Baltimore Orioles outfield prospect Austin Hays (ankle), the team's No. 4 prospect, undergo surgery to fix a stress fracture in his ankle after seeing a specialist on Wednesday. Hays hit only .235/.266/.410 with 12 home runs, 46 RBI and six stolen bases in 75 games between Double-A Bowie and Single-A Aberdeen this year and was bothered with the ankle issue for most of the season. It's unclear if he'll be late to start the season next year if he has surgery.
