Austin Hays In Final Stages Of Rehab
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays (ankle, shoulder), who entered last year as the team's top prospect, said he's in the final stages of his rehab and is hoping to be healthy in spring training after his season was derailed by injuries. Hays said the last step of his rehab will be base running in spring training, but he's feeling really good right now and should be an option for the major league club at some point this year. Hays is now the team's No. 4 prospect, but his upside is evident after he hit .329/.365/.593 with 32 home runs and 95 RBI in two minor league stops in 2017. He should certainly be on the radar for those in dynasty leagues, and he could come into mixed league relevance if he earns a starting outfield spot at any point in 2019.
