Astros Targeting Sunday Return For Carlos Correa
6 years agoThe Houston Astros are targeting a Sunday return for shortstop Carlos Correa (neck) in the series finale against the Rays. The All-Star was out for the second straight regular season game on Friday due to a neck strain suffered a week ago. Correa did pre-game drills on Friday but didn't swing a bat. He will attempt to do that on Saturday. Manager A.J. Hinch said Correa will have to do a full workout before he makes his season debut. Correa struggled in the second half last year as he battled through a back injury. Fantasy owners are hoping that his neck injury won't hurt him to begin the season. He can be a difference-maker at the shortstop position when healthy. Aledmys Diaz has filled in at the 6 the last two days.
