Astros Haven't Started Interviewing Managerial Candidates
1 year agoHouston Astros general manager Dana Brown said on Wednesday that the team has not started interviewing managerial candidates yet. The Astros will need to replace Dusty Baker this offseason after he retired following four fruitful seasons as the skipper. In house, the Astros are expected to interview bench coach Joe Espada, who has been close to landing a managerial gig around the league in recent seasons. Houston could also be interested in taking a look at Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell, whose contract expires after the World Series. Whoever takes over will have big shoes to fill after Baker led the Astros to four American League Championship Series and a World Series title in 2022.
