6 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (knee) and third baseman Alex Bregman (elbow) will be brought along slowly this spring as a precaution, according to manager A.J. Hinch. Altuve underwent surgery on Oct. 19 to fix a patella avulsion fracture, while Bregman had surgery Jan. 11 to remove bone chips in his elbow. Both players have reported to camp and are working out. Barring setbacks, they should both be fine for Opening Day. Bregman is younger and has more upside, but both are top-20 fantasy assets heading into the 2019 season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
