2 years agoThe Oakland Athletics are planning to promote pitching prospect Mason Miller to their major-league roster. It sounds as though Miller is scheduled to join the team on Tuesday, and he could make his major-league debut on Wednesday against the Chicago Cubs. The 24-year-old right-hander has been impressive so far in two minor-league starts at Double-A Midland and Triple-A Las Vegas, giving up two runs on two hits while walking none and striking out 19 in 8 2/3 frames. Eleven of his strikeouts came during five no-hit innings for Vegas in his last outing. Miller missed most of 2022 due to a shoulder injury, but he has a power arm and should warrant some consideration in deep-mixed leagues if you need some rotation help.
