Antonio Brown's Week 17 Absence Wasn't Injury-Related
6 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown's Week 17 absence against the Bengals had nothing to do with his knee injury, but instead he was inactive because he elected to sit out of practice all last week after an unspecified dispute with a teammate. Brown became disgusted at one of his teammates and threw a football in anger last Wednesday, according to several sources. It was decision to miss practice the rest of the week and wasn't on the field for the start of the game on Sunday. He also left the stadium at halftime. Despite his off-field distractions, Brown finished 2018 with 104 catches for 1,297 yards and led the league with 15 touchdowns, which is a team record. His diva qualities aside, Brown will once again be the first wideout off the board in fantasy drafts in 2019.
