Anthony Rizzo's Back Still Bothering Him
4 years agoChicago Cubs manager David Ross didn't sound very confident on the status of first baseman Anthony Rizzo (back) after he received treatment on Monday. "He's sore," Ross said. Rizzo left the game early on Sunday with back issues and also sat out on Monday, so this is a situation worth keeping a close eye on. The 31-year-old could need to go on the 10-day injured list if the back issue doesn't clear up soon. It might be affecting his performance, too, as he's hit just .147/.256/.353 with two home runs, two RBI and 12 strikeouts to just three walks in the last 14 days. Check back for more information on his status on Tuesday. Fantasy managers are keeping their fingers crossed that he won't need an injured list stint.
