6 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo (foot) left the game early on Tuesday and was diagnosed with a right foot contusion after he fouled a ball off his foot in the third inning. X-rays on Rizzo came back negative. The slugging first baseman was hitless in three plate appearances before leaving the game. It looks like this is just a day-to-day type of injury, but don't be surprised if the Cubs hold him out for a game or two. Rizzo is hitting .283 on the year with 24 home runs, 64 runs scored, 90 RBI and six steals.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
