Anthony Edwards Extends Streak Of 20-Point Games
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Anthony Edwards notched 20-plus points for a fourth consecutive game on Friday, going for 22 points on 9-for-14 shooting in a loss to Memphis. He was 2-for-3 from downtown and perfect at the line with two attempts. Edwards also had six assists in the game with three rebounds, two blocks and one steal. The top pick of last year's draft has really come to life during the latter half of the season. He averaged 24.2 points per game last month and looks set to continue in the same vein in April. However, the next game against the Sixers promises to be a rocky ride, as it's a matchup against a top defensive team. Edwards was limited to only 38.5 percent shooting by Philadelphia in this year's first meeting of the season, where he ended up with 15 points in 29 minutes.
