6 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays optioned outfielder Anthony Alford back to Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday. Alford, formerly a top prospect for Toronto, was called up earlier this week when the team traded Kevin Pillar to the Giants. He went just 0-for-3 in one game, but his mix of power and speed will be intriguing in deeper leagues if he's brought up again and receives regular playing time. Pitcher Sean Reid-Foley was also sent down after allowing five runs (three earned) in just two innings of a spot start this week for Toronto.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
