Andy Dalton Signing With Cowboys
5 years agoFormer Cincinnati Bengals long-time quarterback Andy Dalton is signing a one-year deal worth up to $7 million with the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday, according to a source. The deal includes $3 million guaranteed. Most expected Dalton to land in Jacksonville with his ex-head coach in Jay Gruden as the offensive coordinator there, but Dalton instead chooses to go home to Texas to back up Dak Prescott for a year. If Prescott were to get hurt and Dalton stepped in, he'd definitely be an intriguing QB2 in two-quarterback leagues with a stacked offense in Dallas. The Cowboys had one of the best drafts last week when wideout CeeDee Lamb fell into their laps, and now they'll have one of the better backup options in the league as insurance for the franchise man in Prescott.
