Andrew Miller Receives Cortisone Shot
6 years agoCleveland Indians manager Terry Francona said relief pitcher Andrew Miller (shoulder) received a cortisone shot after tests showed swelling in the left-hander's bursa sac in his left shoulder. Miller will be shut down for a few days, but the team doesn't think his injury is a serious setback. This is the southpaw's third trip to the disabled list year, and it has obviously affected his performance. Miller should be back at least in the middle of September to help bolster the bullpen for the stretch run and the postseason.
