Andrew Heaney Expected To Start Year On Injured List
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Andrew Heaney (elbow) is expected to open the season on the injured list after being shut down due to inflammation in his left elbow after his last start on March 8. It's a similar situation to last year when he missed the start of the year with the same injury and returned on April 13. Felix Pena is expected to take Heaney's place in the rotation to begin the year. Pena had a strong spring and posted a 4.00 ERA in his 17 starts in 2018. Heaney's fantasy value will drop slightly with this news, but he could be a late-round value pick in mixed leagues if he just misses a start or two.
