Andrew Cashner Gets Opening Day Nod
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that starting pitcher Andrew Cashner will start on Opening Day against the Yankees on the road. Cashner was one of the worst starters in the majors last year and went 4-15 with a 5.29 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 99 K's in 153 innings. The 32-year-old is an extremely dangerous fantasy streamer in deeper leagues and should absolutely be avoided against the powerful Yanks to kick off the year. He's filling in for Alex Cobb (groin), who might miss just one start.
