Andrei Svechnikov Continues Point Streak With Empty-Netter
3 years agoCarolina Hurricanes winger Andrei Svechnikov finished off the scoring with an empty-net goal in Thursday's 3-0 win over Boston, taking his season-opening point streak to six games. Teuvo Teravainen and Sebastian Aho had the assists with 25 seconds left to play. Svechnikov registered two total shots and delivered four hits in 13:47 of ice time. The 21-year-old is quickly becoming a star in the league and is among the NHL's top scorers with 10 points. He'll be licking his lips looking at the calendar, with Carolina facing Chicago and Arizona in the next three games.
