Amari Cooper's Contract Demands Are High
6 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper's contract demands on an extension have been deemed shockingly high by the Cowboys, with the team viewing the floor of his contract at $16 million annually. The team's contract talks aren't moving as fast with Cooper as they are with quarterback Dak Prescott. Dallas would like to get a deal done with Cooper before the start of the 2019 season, but there is no strict timetable. The 24-year-old was very inconsistent to open his career in Oakland after two straight 1,000-yard seasons in his first two years, but he showed he still has upside in Dallas, catching 53 passes for 725 yards and six touchdowns in his nine games with the Cowboys in 2018. His contract aside, Cooper's fantasy stock is on the rise heading into his first full season with the Cowboys.
